Sejarah Hidup Robert. T. Kiyosaki Dan Karya Karya Besarnya Rasanya tidak ada yang tidak kenal Robert Kiyosaki. Hampir semua orang yang membutuhkan pendidikan keuangan dan berkeinginan "menjadi orang kaya" setidak- tidaknya mengenal buku fenomenal yang dikeluarkan oleh Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Poor Dad. Dia bahkan membuat trend baru dalam dunia bisnis: menjual seminar dan pelatihan dalam kemasan lebih bergengsi. Meskipun menimbulkan banyak kontroversi, Robert telah memberikan sumbangan besar dalam dunia pendidikan keuangan modern. Robert Kiyosaki dilahirkan di Hilo, Hawaii yang merupakan generasi keempat dari perkawinan Jepang-Amerika. Robert adalah anak terakhir dari seorang pengajar yang bernama Ralph H. Kiyosaki (1919-1991). Kiyosaki lulusan dari Hilo High School. Ia lalu mengikuti sekolah militer U.S. Merchant Marine Academy di New York, lulus pada tahun 1969 dan bekerja sebagai staf dek pada Korps Marinir merangkap sebagai regu tembak dalam helikopter saat perang Vietnam, dimana ia mendapatkan penghargaan dalam Perang Udara. Kiyosaki keluar dari Korps Marinir pada tahun 1974 dan mendapatkan pekerjaan sebagai sales mesin fotocopy pada Xerox Corporation. Pada tahun 1977, Kiyosaki menjalankan bisnis penjualan dompet Velcro dan nilon, yang membuatnya mendapatkan kesuksesan. Pada tahun 1980 Kiyosaki memulai bisnis penjualan T-shirt untuk grup band Heavy Metal. Pada akhirnya bisnisnya itu mengalami kegagalan dan membuatnya bangkrut dan juga kehilangan rumah. Kiyosaki kemudian mengikuti seminar pengembangan kepribadian yang dibawakan oleh Marshall Thurber yang berjudul "Money & You". Seminar tersebut berlangsung selama 3,5 hari yang diadakan di AS dan Kanada. Dasar dari seminar diadakan adalah dengan mengajarkan prinsip Buckminster Fuller dan mempromosikan konsep menang/menang dan juga berbicara tentang tanggung jawab pribadi dalam pekerjaan. Ketika Thurber keluar dari bisnis seminar ini pada tahun 1985, Kiyosaki mengambil alih bisnis ini dan bekerja sama dengan rekan Thurber yang bernama D.C. Cordova. Mereka mengambil alih bisnis kursus ini untuk mengajar para pelajar di Australia dan New Zealand. Pada tahun 1994, saat dia berumur 47 tahun, dia menutup bisnis kursus tersebut karena dinilai merugikan masyarakat Australia dan kemudian sekitar tahun 1996-1997 ia mendirikan perusahaan Cashflow Technologies, Inc yang meluncurkan konsep Rich Dad (dan Cashflow). Saat peluncuran merk itu muncul banyak keraguan tentang integritas dalam sejarah hidupnya. Kiyosaki juga menyatakan bahwa pengaturan keuangan dengan benar adalah hal yang sangat penting untuk menjadikan seseorang menjadi kaya. Kiyosaki menitikberatkan pada apa yang dia sebut sebagai "melek keuangan" sebagai syarat utama menjadi kaya. Ia mengatakan bahwa gaya hidup yang menjadikan seseorang menjadi kaya tidak diajarkan disekolah. Ia mengatakan bahwa sekolah formal hanya mencetak lulusannya menjadi seorang karyawan atau wiraswasta individu dan inilah yang dia sebut sebagai "Paham Era Indutrialis". Dan sejalan dengan pernyataan Kiyosaki, cara untuk mendapatkan kebebasan dalam hal keuangan adalah dengan cara menjadi pemilik bisnis atau menjadi seorang investor, yang secara umum disebut sebagai Pasive Income atau Pendapatan Pasif. Selanjutnya Kiyosaki memperkenalkan konsep "Cashflow Quadrant" sebuah konsep yang menjelaskan tentang tempat semua uang didunia didapatkan. Didalam sebuah diagram, terdapat empat kelompok manusia, yang dipisahkan oleh dua garis(satu vertikal dan satu lagi horizontal). Disetiap kelompok tersebut terdapat aktifitas seorang individu mendapatkan uang. Kuadran E : Employee : Karyawan atau juga disebut bekerja pada seorang pemilik usaha. Kuadran S : Self-employed atau Small business owner atau yang disebut juga sebagai wiraswasta atau pemilik usaha kecil - dimana seorang individu menjadi pemilik sekaligus menjadi pimpinan/bos. Kuadran B : Business owner atau pemilik bisnis - dimana seorang individu mempunyai sebuah "sistem" atau cara untuk mendapatkan uang, lebih besar daripada bekerja untuk mendapatkan uang. Kuadran I : Investor - dengan mengeluarkan uang untuk mendapatkan bayaran atau keuntungan yang berlipat kali ganda dari investasi yang dilakukannya. Jika seorang individu berada pada kuadran E dan S, Kiyosaki mengatakan bahwa orang tersebut tidak akan pernah menjadi kaya. Sebaliknya, jika seseorang berada pada kuadran B dan I maka orang tersebut sudah berada pada jalan menuju kaya. Buku yang diterbitkan Buku terkenal yang diterbitkan oleh Kiyosaki adalah Rich Dad, Poor Dad sebuah buku yang laris dijual menurut New York Times. Selanjutnya buku yang ditulisnya adalah Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant dan Rich Dad's Guide to Investing. Sekarang Kiyosaki merupakan pengarang buku terlaris. Buku-buku lain yang ditulisnya adalah : Rich Kid, Smart Kid (2001), Rich Dad's Prophecy (2002), Why We Want You To Be Rich coauthored by Donald Trump (2007), dll. Konsep permainan monopoli Kiyosaki mengatakan bahwa nilai yang terkandung dalam permainan monopoli, adalah dasar dari pembelajaran strategi keuangan seperti misalnya "menjual empat rumah hijau untuk sebuah hotel yang berwarna merah". Didalam buku yang diterbitkan olehnya, Kiyosaki menciptakan permainan serupa. Buku-buku tersebut antara lain : Cashflow 101, Cashflow 202,Cashflow for Kids, Cashflow The E-Game, Cashflow 202 The E-Game, dan Cashflow 202 The E-Game. Audio/Visual Kiyosaki telah mengadakan rekaman yang dibuat dalam format radio dan DVD. Hampir semua buku Robert Kiyosaki telah dibuat versi audio. Diantaranya adalah Rich Dad's Secrets To Money, You Can Choose To Be Rich: "Think It" "Learn It" "Do It",Rich Dad's Roads To Riches: 6 Steps to Becoming a Successful Real Estate Investor, dll. Pertunjukan TV CNBC series & The Millionaire Inside adalah beberapa siaran TV yang mengundang Kiyosaki untuk mengisi acara mereka. Dalam setiap episode, dalam membahas isu keuangan selalu ada pertanyaan dari penonton yang dijawab dan diberi komentar oleh ahli keuangan yang juga diundang. Kritik dan Kontroversi Meskipun ada begitu banyak orang merasa buku Rich Dad Poor Dad membuka wawasan mereka mengenai uang, tak sedikit yang melontarkan kritik dan kontroversi atas hasil karyanya. Sebuah penelusuran oleh pemerintah AS sendiri mengungkapkan bahwa sebenarnya Kiyosaki tidaklah seberhasil sekarang ini sebelum dia menjual buku-bukunya. Dengan kata lain, Kiyosaki menjadi kaya justru karena menjual buku Rich Dad Poor Dad dan bukan karena melakukan apa yang ditulisnya. Setidaknya Rich Dad Poor Dad dan berbagai produk turunannya telah menambah pundi-pundi Robert puluhan juta Dollar. John T Reed, seorang investor Real Estat sungguhan (Real Estat merupakan salah satu fokus investasi dalam buku Rich Dad Poor Dad) menuliskan kritik lengkap mengenai apa yang ditulis Kiyosaki. Beberapa penulis lainnya menambahkan bahwa apa yang ditulisnya hanya berupa kata-kata motivasional dan miskin penerapan praktis. Menjawab hal ini, Kiyosaki menampik dan mengatakan bahwa sebuah buku haruslah menyenangkan untuk dibaca dan bersifat inspiratif. Salah satu kritik tajam lainnya adalah mengenai tokoh Ayah Kaya yang banyak kali diceritakan dalam bukunya. Penelusuran kebanyakan pengamat menemukan bahwa tokoh Ayah Kaya yang dikisahkan Robert Kiyosaki tidaklah ada alias fiksi semata-mata. Menanggapi hal ini Kiyosaki mengatakan bahwa tokoh itu benar-benar ada dan meninggal lama sebelum buku Rich Dad Poor Dad diterbitkan tanpa menjelaskan lebih lanjut nama dan identitasnya. Hingga sekarang Ayah Kaya masih merupakan misteri apakah ada atau tidak. Mereka yang skeptis akhirnya mengatakan seharusnya buku Rich Dad Poor Dad beserta buku-buku turunannya dimasukkan dalam kategori buku fiksi sejajar dengan novel Harry Potter karangan J.K. Rowling. Pada 19 Mei 2006, stasiun televisi ABC mengadakan sebuah segemen yang disebut 20/20 segment. Dalam segmen ini ABC memberikan masing-masing 1000 USD kepada 3 orang entrepreneur yang dilatih Kiyosaki dan meminta mereka menghasilkan uang sebanyak- banyaknya selama 20 hari. Setelah 20 hari berlalu para kontestan mengakui bahwa Robert Kiyosaki tidak memberikan contoh konkrit bagaimana menghasilkan uang. "Apa yang dilakukannya (Kiyosaki), saya rasa, hanyalah membuka pikiran Anda mengenai kesempatan. Dia tidak mengatakan kepada Anda bagaimana untuk melakukannya." Demikian kutipan dari kontestan. Kiyosaki meresponnya dengan mengatakan bahwa setiap orang harus belajar dari setiap kegagalan yang mereka alami. 20/20 menanggapi respon tersebut dengan mengatakan "Apakah seseorang membutuhkan 18 buku hanya untuk belajar gagal?" Sebuah balasan yang satir. Terlepas dari benar-salah, baik- buruknya yang ditanamkan Kiyosaki pada dunia, orang ini telah membawa setidaknya dua perubahan sederhana namun berguna: 1. Menggugah orang untuk berpikir lebih mengenai uang. 2. Membuka sebuah bisnis lama tapi baru: seminar dan pelatihan uang dan investasi. Lagipula tidak ada salahnya membaca buku yang diterbitkannya. jurnal Heart

Circulatory
Physiology
disebutkan
bahwa
dengan
mengetes
salah satu elemen tubuh (jari
kaki), seseorang bisa tahu
jantungnya masih sehat atau
tidak, bahkan di tengah-tengah
liburan sekalipun.
Caranya mudah, cukup dengan
duduk di lantai dengan kaki
diluruskan ke depan dan jari kaki
mengarah ke atas. Setelah itu
cobalah menjangkau dan
menyentuh ujung jari kaki
dengan tangan. Jika Anda cukup
fleksibel untuk menyentuh jari
kaki artinya jantung Anda masih
sehat dan fleksibel juga.
Dalam studinya, peneliti dari
University of North Texas dan
beberapa peneliti Jepang
merekrut 526 partisipan antara
umur 20 hingga 83 tahun.
Partisipan kemudian mengikuti
tes fleksibilitas tubuh sambil
diukur tekanan darah, pembuluh
arteri dan aktivitas jantungnya.
Hasilnya, peneliti menemukan
korelasi antara tubuh yang tidak
fleksibel dengan pembuluh arteri
yang tidak fleksibel, terutama
pada partisipan di atas umur 40
tahun.
Mereka yang gagal dalam tes
fleksibilitas tubuh dan gagal
mencapai ujung jari kaki ternyata
memiliki pembuluh darah yang
kaku, dan artinya kemampuan
jantung menjadi kurang baik,
efisien dan risiko penyakit
jantung pun meningkat.
Peneliti Jepang Dr Yamamoto
mengatakan, meski teori antara
hubungan otot punggung dan
kaki dengan otot di dekat
jantung masih samar-samar, tapi
dengan adanya studi ini cukup
membantu.
Kekakuan otot punggung, kaki
dan pembuluh jantung yang
saling berhubungan tersebut
dikarenakan komposisi
kolagennya yang sama.
"Jika Anda bisa menyentuh jari
kaki saat duduk lurus, jantung
Anda berarti masih cukup baik.
Tapi jika tidak bisa, mungkin
Anda perlu mendatangi
kardiolog," ujar Dr Yamamoto,
seorang peneliti Jepang seperti
dikutip dari New York Times.
Namun Yamamoto menyebutkan
tidak selamanya otot kaku adalah
pertanda penyakit jantung,
hanya mungkin jantungnya
kurang fit dan sehat saja dari
yang seharusnya.
